Greg Smith cites Deep Purple's 1972 album "Machine Head" as a major influence, which transformed his perspective on music. Other influences include Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones and Blues Brothers bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn. His band, Off the Road, plays "old-school rock 'n' roll," covering artists like Nugent, Billy Joel, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, The Tubes, and Faces. A seasoned musician, Smith has performed with rock legends Wendy O. Williams, Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, and Ted Nugent over the past six years.
